Pokemon Tazos - A reason behind the popularity of Uncle Chipps & Cheetos

Most of us or every 90's kids had eaten Uncle Chipps and Cheetos. These two are the most popular brand among us and the main reason behind it's popularity is "Pokemon Tazos" which we get inside the packet of Uncle Chipps and Cheetos.

Pokemon is the most popular catoon among the kids of 90's & 20's. It was the hobby of most of the kids to collect the Pokemon Tazos, that's why whenever we went to market with our parents of elder brother or sister we asked them to purchase Uncle Chipps or Cheetos. And even when my mom send me to market to get some stuff I asked her for extra 10 rupees so that I can buy Uncle Chipps or Cheetos. And the funniest thing is that I used to think that the colour of rapper of chips used to decide the type of Pokemon we will get inside the packet (Blue rapper - for water, green for grass and bug, red for fire & yellow for electric type Pokemon).

We had learned our first bussiness skill while trading these Pokemon Tazos. The person who has Pikachu, Bulbasaur, Squirtle & Charizard is the luckiest and riches among us.

Uncle Chipps & Cheetos are still available in market but we hardly buy them, that's why I said "Pokemon Tazos - A reason behind the popularity of Uncle Chipps & Cheetos.

Buddhi ke Baal - A sweet which is still shining

Buddhi ke baal, hawa mithai, cotton candy or candy floss you can call it with any name (I like to call it as buddhi ke baal). But one thing is not going to change i.e. we all are in love with it and sweet memories of our childhood is linked with it.

In my childhood days I used to think why it is called as "buddhi ke baal" is it really a hair of old lady which we are eating. When I asked my mom about it she laughed and told me that since it is white in colour and rough in texture like old women hair that's why it is called buddhi ke baal.

Whenever we went out with our parents for park, zoo or circus the first thing which we always want to eat is "buddhi ke baal" even in many parties a separate counter for buddhi ke baal is there which is always surrounded by kids and they use to quarrel among each other to grab it first. And in the party our whole concentration is on this counter and we use to fill our tummy by eating this only. Even now a days also whenever I found it in market, I used to consume it.

This is the only food item from 90's which has not lost it's charm and is still shining.

Ice - Bars & Pepsi (Ice lollies) - A treat to our summer holidays

Summer vacation, it is one of the best time of our childhood. As soon as our final exams are over, we are like "King of the World" no school, no tution and no homeworks. We are free to play full day. And the most important thing which add flavour to our summer holdidays is Ice - bars & pepsi ( ice lollies ) of diffent flavours.

"Ice cream wale bhiya" ( Ice cream seller) he use to came to our colony at around 10 in the morning and we are eagerly waiting for him at our doors, as soon we saw him we rush inside our house to get the money to buy pespi or the ice -  bars ( cola and orange are my favorite ). At that time cost of pepsi is 1 rupee & ice - bar is 2 rupees. And all of us use to buy diffent coloured one, so that we all can have a tounge of different colours and then we use to compare whose tounge colour has changed the most.

Today we have more options for ice cream with different flavours and even much more tastier than the Ice - Bars and pepsi. But that magic is missing in today's ice cream parlours which we get in our old Ice - Bars & pepsi, I am missing "The theat to our summers".

Soanpapdi a sweet which make our childhood sweet..

Soanpapdi a sweet which make our childhood sweet. Most of the 90's kids were remembing this sweet and they may have lot of beautiful memory regarding this. When the Soanpapdi vendon came to our colony, he use to ring the metal bell. After listing to the sound of his bell I alway went to my mom to ask for 2 rupees so that i can buy it and my mom use to say " Roj Roj nai khate beta nai to pet m khide ho jayenge" after that also we keep asking our mom to get me that Soanpapdi. And this thing use to be my evening snacks most of the time in those days.
But now a days these Soanpapdi vendors are vanished, may be the packed Soanpapdi which we are getting in the market are the reason behind the vanishing of these Soanpapdi vendor. And I personaly like the sonapadi of the vendor than tha packed one, even I have searched for it in many palces but I didn't found it. I think there should be a book enlisting the food iteams which are vanishing like Red book.

Pls share your view on this..😊😊
